International variation in the incidence and health services utilization of very-early onset inflammatory bowel disease
OVERVIEW
Around the world, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is becoming increasingly common among young children. We are collaborating with researchers in Israel and Sweden to compare the rates of new IBD diagnoses in children under the age of 5 in our three countries. We will also compare how often these children have outpatient clinic visits and are sick enough to be hospitalized or require surgery.
