CanGIEC PROJECTS
Our studies begin with a research or clinical question important to people living with gastro-intestinal illnesses, their health care providers, or research scientists. Researchers write a protocol, which is then evaluated by the CanGIEC Scientific Committee for importance, scientific rigour and feasibility. If approved, the projects are then conducted in each province using a strategy called a 'distributed network analysis'.
Results from our studies go on to inform policy makers, healthcare providers, regulators and patients. Our findings are also published in leading academic journals.
